Day 1: Luang Prabang – Phonsavan (Xiengkhouang Province) via Phoukhoun

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 AM. Travel along Road No.13 South, passing through the beautiful mountain ranges of northern Laos.
You’ll stop at Phou Khoun for lunch after approximately 5 hours of travel.

After lunch, continue your journey on Route No.7 to Phonsavan, with scenic stops along the way for photo opportunities and short breaks.
Arrive in Phonsavan, the provincial capital of Xiengkhouang, in the late afternoon.

Day 2: Explore Plain of Jars (Sites 1, 2, 3), Napia Village, and Muang Khoun Old Town

After breakfast, begin your full-day exploration of Xiengkhouang’s UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Visit the Plain of Jars Sites 1, 2, and 3, an archaeological wonder featuring thousands of ancient stone jars scattered across the plateau—believed to be over 2,000 years old.

Continue to Ban Napia Village, where locals skillfully recycle scrap metal from bombs dropped during the Vietnam War (1968–1973) to craft spoons, bracelets, and souvenirs.

After lunch in Phaxay, visit Muang Khoun, the former capital of the Tai Phuan Kingdom, featuring the ruins of Wat Pia Temple, the That Foun Stupa, and the Old French Colonial Office—remnants of a once-thriving city devastated during wartime.

End the day with a visit to the MAG (Mines Advisory Group) UXO Information Centre to learn about ongoing efforts to clear unexploded ordnance in Laos.

Day 3: Phonsavan – Luang Prabang via Phoukhoun

After breakfast, depart Favanmai Hotel at 8:00 AM for your return journey to Luang Prabang.

On the way, stop to visit the Buddha Cave and enjoy the tranquil scenery of the limestone mountains.
Continue to Phou Khoun for lunch, before driving the final stretch—approximately 5 more hours—to Luang Prabang.

Arrive in Luang Prabang in the late afternoon.
