TERMS & CONDITIONS — LAOS ECOTOURISM JOURNEY & INCLUSIVE TOURS

Laos Ecotourism Travel — Standard & Journey-specific terms

The following terms are in addition to our standard terms and are unique to journey and inclusive tour products offered by Laos Ecotourism Travel.

1. Destinations of Laos Ecotourism Travel

Laos Ecotourism Travel provides package and flexible tour services. Most tours are operated by Lao people. Itineraries, activities, and transport modes may vary at our discretion due to the nature of our products and the environments in which we operate.

Our mission is to promote conservation tourism, preserve nature, and support the culture, customs, and history of the Lao people. We aim to create sustainable income for Lao communities through tourism, where the main motivation of the tourist is observation and appreciation of nature and traditional Lao cultures.

2. Travel Season

We operate tours year-round. There are generally two seasons:

  • Dry season (winter/autumn): November – March.
  • Wet season (rainy/spring): April – October.

Note: The recommended period to visit Laos is November to March when the climate is most pleasant.

3. Travel Group Size

  • Minimum number: 1 people.
  • Maximum number: 25 people.

4. Bookings

Customers should book tours at least 30 days before the confirmed departure date. To book, contact us at laosecotourismtravel@gmail.com.

5. Deposit

Deposits secure placements with accommodations and external activity providers. All deposits are non-refundable under the terms and conditions of Laos Ecotourism Travel.

6. Payment

We will invoice clients no later than 14 days before arrival, except where deposits apply. Invoice amounts are net; all bank fees are the responsibility of the customer. While the official currency of Laos is the Lao Kip (LAK), clients may pay in USD, EUR, or THB. Exchange rates are calculated daily.

7. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation fees for Laos Explorer tours are:

  • 30+ days before departure: free of charge.
  • 20 – 30 days before departure: 25% of the deposit charged.
  • 1 – 15 days before departure: full charge, non-refundable.

8. Travel Insurance

It is the traveler's responsibility to hold travel insurance covering the full duration of the trip. Insurance should cover accidents occurring during transportation (e.g., minibus, boat) and tour activities when traveling with Laos Ecotourism Travel.

9. Visa to Travel to Laos

We can assist with obtaining an e-visa before travel or with border entry processes if you arrive from a neighboring country. Visitors to Laos generally require a tourist visa permitting stays of up to 30 days. Visas are obtainable online (e-visa) or at border entry points (including airports). You will need a suitable photograph and may face delays and additional charges if not prepared.

We recommend obtaining your visa in advance. We can provide assistance without an additional service fee; however, you must cover the visa cost (typically around $40 – $45 USD, depending on nationality). E-visas may be obtained up to 60 days before arrival. If you are already in Laos when you join our tour, a new visa will not be required.
