Your experienced local guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 AM, then travel about 40 minutes along scenic rural roads to reach Long Lao Village, home to the Hmong hill tribe. Enjoy a guided village tour and learn about the traditional lifestyle, customs, and farming culture of the Hmong people.
From the village, begin your 2.5-hour trek through lush farmland and tropical forest. You’ll pass rubber, teak, corn, and rice fields, then hike uphill through the jungle to a hilltop viewpoint, where you’ll stop to enjoy a packed lunch with panoramic views.
After lunch, visit the Hermit Cave and natural spring, before continuing your trek to the top of the Kuang Si Waterfall — one of the most stunning natural attractions in Laos. Follow the trail as it winds down through the lush green forest, revealing turquoise pools perfect for a refreshing swim or relaxing by the water.
Before returning to Luang Prabang, visit the Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre, where you can see endangered Sun Bears that have been rescued and cared for in a natural environment.
