Join our full-day Luang Prabang adventure tour combining two of the region’s most famous attractions — the Kuang Si Waterfalls and the Pak Ou Caves, with a relaxing sunset cruise on the Mekong River.
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel between 8:00 – 8:30 AM. The tour begins with a 30-minute drive to visit the Hmong cultural exhibits, where you can learn about the traditions and lifestyle of this local hill tribe. Next, visit the Bear Rescue Centre and continue to the spectacular Kuang Si Waterfalls, one of the most breathtaking natural sites in Laos. Here, you’ll have time to swim in the turquoise pools, take beautiful photos, and relax in the serene forest surroundings. Afterward, change into dry clothes and prepare for the next part of your journey.
Return to Luang Prabang by van and board a boat for a scenic 1.5-hour cruise upstream on the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves. Onboard, enjoy a traditional Lao-style lunch served as you take in the stunning riverside scenery.
Before reaching the caves, stop at the Whisky Village (Ban Xang Hai) to see how locals distill traditional Lao whisky — and if you’re brave, you can even try a small taste! Continue by boat for another 30 minutes to reach the Pak Ou Caves, home to over 4,000 Buddha statues in both the upper and lower caverns. Your guide will share the fascinating history of the caves and explain their religious significance.
After exploring the caves, cruise back downstream toward Luang Prabang. Relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset views over the Mekong River before arriving at the pier. Your guide will transfer you back to your hotel, where the tour concludes in the early evening.
