Your adventure begins with hotel pick-up between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. From there, take a Tuk Tuk ride to Ban Saunluang Village, located about 45 minutes southeast of Luang Prabang, where your kayaking journey starts.
Upon arrival, your local tour guide will provide a briefing on the Nam Khan River route, important safety instructions, and basic kayaking techniques to ensure a fun and secure experience.
Then, start kayaking downstream along the Nam Khan River toward Tad Sae Waterfall. After approximately 25 minutes, arrive at the waterfall where you can swim, relax, and enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by beautiful nature.
After lunch and free time at Tad Sae, continue kayaking along the river to Ban Hat Heine Village, the end point of your trip. This final stretch takes around 2 hours and 45 minutes. Once there, the kayaks will be loaded onto the Tuk Tuk and returned to the storage area.
Finally, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Luang Prabang, where you can say goodbye to your guide — marking the end of a memorable kayaking day trip on the Nam Khan River.
