A complete cultural and natural journey through the heart of northern Laos.
Day 1: Luang Prabang City Sightseeing & Sunset at Phou Si Mountain
Your day begins early with a 5:00 AM hotel pickup to witness one of Luang Prabang’s most sacred traditions — the almsgiving ceremony. Watch as local people offer sticky rice and food to Buddhist monks in saffron robes, a centuries-old spiritual ritual.
Then, stroll through the morning market, where locals trade fresh produce and traditional foods. Afterward, return to your hotel for breakfast.
At 8:00 AM, your guide will pick you up to begin the full-day city sightseeing tour.
Visit:
Wat Mai Temple – known for its stunning golden bas-reliefs.
Royal Palace Museum – once the residence of the Lao monarchy, now a museum preserving royal artifacts.
Wat Xieng Thong – the most magnificent temple in Luang Prabang, with its elegant roof and mosaic art.
Wat Visounnarath (Wat Visoun) – one of the oldest temples, featuring the iconic "Watermelon Stupa."
Along the way, enjoy a leisurely walk to admire the French colonial architecture that lines the old streets.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Ban Xang Khong Village, known for traditional silk weaving and handmade mulberry paper. You’ll see how locals create these beautiful crafts — and you can support the community by purchasing authentic handmade products.
In the late afternoon, climb 328 steps up Phou Si Mountain Pagoda, the highest point in Luang Prabang, for a breathtaking 360° view of the city and sunset over the Mekong River.
After sunset, your guide will take you for dinner at a local restaurant, and you’ll have time to explore the Night Market for souvenirs before returning to your hotel.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at 8:00 AM and transfer you to the boat pier.
Board a slow boat and cruise along the majestic Mekong River to visit:
Ban Chan (Pottery Village): Observe the locals crafting pots, jars, and clay souvenirs using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
Ban Xang Hai (Whisky Village): Famous for producing Lao rice whisky (Lao-Lao). You can sample different types — white (40–45°), purple (20–25°), and yellow (10–15°) — and purchase locally made whisky or crafts.
Continue the scenic cruise upriver to reach the Pak Ou Caves, stopping first for lunch at a riverside restaurant.
After lunch, visit Pak Ou Caves (Tham Ting and Tham Theung), located at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou rivers. Inside, thousands of Buddha images fill the upper and lower caves, creating one of the most spiritual sites in Laos.
Your guide will share the legends and history of this sacred site, once visited annually by Lao kings during the New Year.
Return to Luang Prabang by boat (approx. 1 hour) and transfer back to your hotel.

Begin your trek through farmland and forest, passing rubber, teak, corn, and rice fields, before entering dense jungle paths. After about 2.5 hours of trekking, enjoy a picnic lunch in nature near the Hermit Cave and natural spring.
Continue walking until you reach the top of the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall, one of the most beautiful sites in Laos.
Admire the emerald-blue pools, cascading tiers, and tranquil forest setting. Walk down to the lower falls for swimming, relaxation, and photography.
